Free Warrant Search for California Courts
Summary: Warrant search and case info links for California's County Superior Courts. Most counties have free on line case info, which includes warrants issued on the cases. In some cases, such as San Diego, the county Sheriffs Office publishes on line access to warrant info. Some counties, such as Santa Clara does not allow on line access to public court records.
Use these links to county courts or county sheriffs departments to do a free warrant search or find on-line court case information, such as Vehicle Code 40508a warrants, PC 853.7 warrants, traffic court bench warrants, and many other misdemeanor arrest warrants. Keep in mind that warrants come from pending court cases, and if you really want info on a warrant problem you need to find the case where it came from.
You can always call a court clerk for information on a warrant case. And in many cases, you can search for warrants on line. Unfortunately, every court varies in its access to warrant and case info, and there is no single source of reliable information - you have to check with the court that issued the warrant for accurate info.
In some counties, such as San Diego County Superior Court, you can look up case info and warrants separately. In other counties, such as Sacramento, you can look up case info, but there is no access to warrant info.
You may have to look on the site's "On Line Services" section after you follow the link to get case or warrant info. Some counties issue warrants out of a traffic and/or criminal division. You may have to check both divisions.
If you believe you have a warrant and cannot find it, do not use this page as your only source of information. Call or visit the court clerk at the court where your case is pending. For More Info see: How to Get a Court Date on a Warrant
